The Barbara Dex Award 2015 goes to Trijntje Oosterhuis!
The voting for the perhaps least desired award of Eurovision, the Barbara Dex Award for worst dressed, started a little over a week ago.
Today, after a record-breaking 4163 votes, the “lucky” winner was revealed to be Trijntje Oosterhuis of The Netherlands!
A definite winner
There was no doubt about this year’s winner. With her baggy outfit and 1324 votes, Trijntje Oosterhuis more than doubled the 605 votes received by the runner up; Bojana Stamenov from Serbia, who wore a flowy dress decorated with sequins. The light-up outfits worn by Electro Velvet secured the United Kingdom a third place with 397 votes. Trijntje caused quite a stir with her first rehearsal dress, with its very low cut.
In his gray shirt and black leather pants, the 2015 Eurovision winner Måns Zelmerlöw from Sweden ended up in 11th place with 85 votes.
The other end of the scale
The voting also reveals the best-dressed, or perhaps, the least offensive or memorable. John Karayiannis from Cyprus got just 2 votes, offending no one with his simple suit. He is followed by Anti Social Media from Denmark, Uzari & Maimuna from Belarus, and Elina Born & Stig Rästa from Estonia, who all received 3 points.
Winner: Trijntje Oosterhuis from The Netherlands
