Last night, the Ukrainian selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Malta transpired. The selection was held live from the International Children’s Centre “Artek-Carpaty” in Polianytsia. Eighteen songs were in the competition, but the song “Priyde Vesna” by the trio “Sympho-Nick” was chosen by the jury.

The jury included the winner of Junior Eurovision 2013  from Malta, Gaia Cauchi, Maltese winner of 2013 and Eldar Qasimov, who won Eurovision in 2011 for Azerbaijan.

In this national final, there were some very good songs, but, unfortunately, only one song will have the chance to represent Ukraine in JESC 2014.

Special mention to Victoria Svyatohir for her resemblance to Sofia Tarasova, the Ukrainian candidate in 2013:

It's flower power in Ukraine!

 “It’s flower power in Ukraine!”
