Ukraine calls for applicants for Junior Eurovision 2015!
Ukrainian broadcaster NTU has called for applications from young singers who wish to represent the country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria later this year.
From July 10 to July 24, interested singers between the ages of ten and fifteen are asked to submit their applications to NTU.
It will be up to a jury to choose the best entries from the submissions. These entries will then go on to compete in a national selection.
The semi-final of the Ukrainian Junior Eurovision selection will take place on July 25 in the NTU studio. The date and details of the final are yet to be announced.
Ukraine was the winner of Junior Eurovision 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and the song “Nebo”. Last year, the country was represented by Trio Sympho-Nick in Malta with “Spring Will Come”, finishing in a respectable 6th place. Ukraine has also hosted Junior Eurovision on two occasions; in 2009, with Ani Lorak (Ukraine 2008) as co-host , and, in 2013 with Zlata Ognevich (Ukraine 2013) as co-host.
