After a great show in Malta tonight, Italy has won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on their debut at the contest!

After a close race in the voting, Vincenzo Cantiello received 159 points, just 12 more than second place act Krisia, Hasan and Ibraham from Bulgaria. Armenia took third place after leading with Italy for the first half of the voting.

The results of the contest are as follows…

  2. Bulgaria: Planet Of The Children – Krisia, Hasan and Ibrahim – 147 points
  3. Armenia: People Of The Sun – Betty – 146 points
  4. Malta: Diamonds – Frederica Falzon – 116 points
  5. Russia: Dreamer – Alisa Kozhikina – 96 points
  6. Ukraine: Spring Will Come – Sympho-Nick – 74 points
  7. Belarus: Sokal – Nadezhda Misyakova – 71 points
  8. Netherlands: Around – Julia – 70 points
  9. Cyprus: I Pio Omorfi Mera – Sophia Patsalides – 69 points
  10. Serbia: Svet U Mojim Očima – Emiliija Djonin – 61 points
